Introduction مقدمه

Receiving a good full-time education will give your child the best possible start in life. Attending school regularly and punctually is essential if children are to make the most of the opportunities available to them.  دریافت آموزش خوب تمام وقت، بهترین شروع ممکن را برای زندگی فرزند شما به ارمغان می آورد. اگر کودکان بخواهند از فرصت ها بیشترین بهره را ببرند، حضور منظم و دقیق در مدرسه برای آنها ضروری است.

The law says that parents must ensure that their child regularly attends the school where he/she is registered. قانون می گوید که والدین باید اطمینان حاصل کنند که فرزندشان به طور مرتب در مدرسه ای که در آن ثبت نام کرده است، حضور می یابد.

What you can do to help چه کمکی از دست شما بر می آید؟

Make sure your child arrives at school on time. This encourages habits of good timekeeping and lessens any possible classroom disruption. اطمینان حاصل کنید که فرزند شما به موقع به مدرسه می رسد. این کار عادات مربوط به زمان بندی مناسب را تشویق می کند و هرگونه اختلال احتمالی در کلاس را کاهش می دهد.

- If your child arrives after the register has closed without a good reason, this will be recorded as an ‘unauthorised’ absence for that session.    اگر فرزند شما بعد از تمام شدن حضور و غیاب در مدرسه، بدون دلیل مناسب به آنجا بیاید این کار، به عنوان غیبت "غیر موجه" برای آن جلسه ثبت می شود.

- If your child has to miss school it is vital that you let the school know why, preferably on the first morning of absence. اگر فرزند شما باید از مدرسه غیبت کند، ضروری است که دلیل غیبت او را ترجیحاً در اوایل صبح به مدرسه اطلاع دهید.

- If you know or think that your child is having difficulties attending the school you should contact the school.  اگر می دانید یا فکر می کنید فرزند شما برای حضور در مدرسه با مشکلی مواجه شده است، باید با مدرسه تماس بگیرید.

It is better to do this sooner rather than later, as most problems can be dealt with very quickly. هرچه این کار را زودتر انجام دهید بهتر است، زیرا اکثر مشکلات را می توان به سرعت حل کرد.

Authorised and Unauthorised Absence غیبت موجه و غیر موجه

If your child is absent and the school either does not receive an explanation from you, or considers the explanation unsatisfactory, it will record your child’s absence as ‘unauthorised’, that is, as truancy. اگر فرزند شما غایب باشد و مدرسه یا توضیحی از شما دریافت نکند، یا توضیحات را رضایت بخش نداند، غیبت فرزند شما را "غیرموجه" ثبت می کند، یعنی فرار از مدرسه.

Most absences for acceptable reasons will be authorised by your child’s school: اکثر غیبت ها به دلایل قابل قبول زیر از طرف مدرسه فرزند شما موجه فرض می شوند:

- Sickness • بیماری

-Unavoidable medical or dental appointments (if possible, arrange these for after school or during school holidays)  • وقت ویزیت اجتناب ناپذیر پزشکی یا دندانپزشکی (در صورت امکان، این وقت ویزیت ها را بعد از مدرسه یا حین تعطیلات مدرسه ترتیب دهید)

- An interview with a prospective employer or college • مصاحبه با کارفرما یا کالج احتمالی

- Exceptional family circumstances, such as bereavement. • شرایط استثنایی خانوادگی، مانند عزاداری

- Days of religious observance. روزهای انجام مراسم مذهبی

Your child’s school will not authorise absence for the following reasons: مدرسه فرزند شما به دلایل زیر اجازه غیبت نمی دهد:

- Shopping during school hours • خرید در ساعات مدرسه

- Day trips • سفرهای یک روزه

- Holidays which have not been agreed تعطیلاتی که تایید نشده است

- Birthdays روزهای تولد

- Looking after brothers or sisters or ill relatives. مراقبت از برادران یا خواهران یا بستگان بیمار.
